some of my favs i didn't see mentioned are layer cake/three kings/ronin

btw all my fellow heat fiends need to read the prequel/sequel book, michael mann fukked around and made one of the best crime thrillers ever. cop now, you might get killed walking your doggie and never get the chance.

Caan was prolly at his coldest this entire flick and you can see Mann laying the groundwork for his future films in this. Film also one of those early 80s films that managed to keep the grittiness 70s films had.
