Lol. You got the same bookshelves as me. Nice book collection.
yeah I took the cheap way out. I had 2 that were very expensive from the furniture store, but moved and needed 10 more so I was like "fukk that". I wasn't going to drop $2500 on bookshelves in my new area

Funny.. I planned on getting this book. Im an avid reader. Seems like De La just dont want anyone to profit off them. After years of not getting what they deserved.... I totally get it.

yeah, that's what it's about because the book actually helps their status with the praise he's giving them for each album and the creation of it. One thing I've always knew is that Tom Silverman is a lying sack of shyt. I always thought De la had signed for like $50k on their first deal and it was more like $15k. Are we to believe an album that cost less than $20k to make and sold over a million copies along with over a million in sales for all the singles, that Tommy Boy hasn't recouped for that album in over 30 years?

I'm almost done with it. I thought De la soul had input on it. I had no idea it was unauthorized. I knew it had to be a reason it's 100 pages less than Doom's book. shyt, I may return it now since I know the truth. There are only 10 chapters in the book and I'm on chapter 7. The book really doesn't show De la Soul in a negative light at all. It's really all postive and shows how genius they were praising them each chapter. Now I'm anticipating their autobiography. There are some things in it I didn't know so it reads like a 33 1/3 series book, but about all of their albums. Yeah, it's not a big book at all for a group with 35 years in the game, and it has no pictures. Look at the size of it compared to Doom's book.
