If that were the case why not give credit where credit is due instead of deflecting it to a guy who lived generations before? Jesus never claimed anything new, just that he was next in a line of succession. Same as Muhammad. He never claimed to bring a new religion just an update.

Not trying to speak for the OP, but I think the point he's getting at is throughout history, Black people have ALWAYS had God/Gods/Religion in their lives, so how are there so many Blacks who are atheists today.

It's not about believing in it, or not believing in it. I don't look at it as being relevant to what we're talkingin comparison to the Bible. I'm sure DNA can tell us who our immediate family members are, but I don't trust it to link me to someone thousands of years ago. I can't say I know much about it, but I also don't care about it.
