His movie catalog is fukkin awful :scust:

For the last 10 years his movies been doo doo. Is it that hard for him to find a decent script and a good director? I mean shyt even Van Damme have made some good movies evry now and then but Wesley shyt straight wack juice.
I dont think any of the major players are fukking with him anymore i think he doesnt have a choice lol.

He basically still blackballed by the major studios for Blade Tragedy aka Trinity. His return to the game was Expendables 3 but the movie got leaked 2 months before it was supposed to hit theaters and didn't do that well in theaters since they made it PG-13. But it did well in the dvd/stream market. He had a TV show in 2015 called The Player which was a solid show but NBC canceled it after 7 episodes.

Now Snipes doing little things here and there to make some income. But his new magnum opus is his new book he Co-wrote Talon of God.

Editorial Reviews
Review
“An exciting, fast-paced, religious thriller that will draw in even the most cynical reader with its mash-up of science and faith. Fans of Jim Butcher’s Harry Dresden and Richard Kadrey’s Sandman Slim will enjoy.” (Library Journal (starred review -- Debut of the Month))

“[An] entertaining supernatural adventure about the war between angels and demons — literal and metaphorical — on the streets of Chicago...Snipes has just as much punch with a keyboard as with his fists, and the realm of urban fantasy has an impressive new disciple.” (USA Today)

“The action in this urban fantasy novel is as cinematic as one would expect from movie star Snipes and co-author Norman...an entertaining thriller with enough swordplay, religious prophecy, and demonic threats to entertain readers across lots of different genres.” (Kirkus Reviews)

“Snipes’ first foray into fiction is a grand-scale showdown with the fate of Heaven and Earth hanging in the balance. Snipes and Norman make a solid writing team, bringing their own talents to produce a tale ... packed with high-stakes action.” (RT Book Reviews)

“An action-packed tale… it is impossible to not imagine Snipes playing Talon in a movie adaptation.” (Booklist)

“Snipes’s action-filled debut with ...[Ray] Norman is sure to be as hot as the summer sun.” (Library Journal)

Talon of God

The acclaimed actor makes his fiction debut with this enthralling urban fantasy in which a holy warrior must convince a doctor with no faith to help stop a powerful demon and his minions from succeeding in creating hell on earth—a thrilling adventure of science and faith, good and evil, damnation and salvation.

Imagine that everyone you have ever known or loved was forced against their will into a state of demonic possession and spiritual slavery. Imagine an unholy cabal of the world’s richest and most powerful men directing this sinister plan in order to cement their unbridled control of the planet.

Imagine two heroes emerging from that darkness to do battle with the forces of evil.

Set in the mean streets of Chicago, Talon of God is the action-packed adventure centered around the Lauryn Jefferson, a beautiful young doctor who is dragged into a seemingly impossible battle against the invisible forces of Satan’s army and their human agents that are bent on enslaving humanity in a mission to establish the kingdom of hell on Earth.

But Lauryn is a skeptic, and it’s only as she sees a diabolical drug sweep her city and begins to train in the ways of a spirit warrior by the legendary man of God, Talon Hunter, that she discovers her true nature and inner strength. Facing dangerous trials and tests, it’s a true baptism by fire. And if they fail, millions could die. And rivers of blood would flow throughout the land.

Imagine such horror. Such pain. And imagine what it would take to fight against it. For only the strongest and most faithful will survive?

Get ready. Armageddon approaches quickly.

After the Expendables 3, he had a short lived revival. He was on a TV show on NBC about 2 years ago, but it got cancelled after 9 eps. Which has pretty much put his mainstream career to :snooze:. Shame really, I always enjoyed Snipes's performances.

Just looking back at some of Snipes early 90's films, Passenger 57 & Drop Zone definitely fit the direct to DVD type film mould of his more recent career. Hopefully he can :eat:off Netflix and Amazon Prime.

*edit*

poster above beat me to it about The Player.

Him and Nic Cage are pretty much in the same boat these days

Nah, once Nic Cage works out his tax issues he'll be offered a bunch of high profile work. Snipes has been blacklisted. The biggest movie he's done in over a decade was Expendables 3.

That TV show "The Player" flopped primarily because it was promoted as a series starring Wesley Snipes but the actual lead was some nondescript white guy. Snipes was just a supporting character in that show and barely appeared in some episodes.

I was gonna check that "gallows" zombie flick he made but i was too scared it was gonna be trash

That movie was horrible and I had high hopes for it too.

I think his tax issues have been behind him, he already served his time.

Now, the book. If it's as good as the reviews are saying I am definitely looking forward to seeing it turned into a movie and who knows ... it just put him back as it a one player.
