What's up with Southern dudes and women's names?

Names like Ashley, Aubrey, Tracy, Shannon, Courtney, Dana, and a lot of other unisex names were once traditionally male only, but women started naming their girls those. I like some of those names for a boy tbh.

Names are names. shyt evolves. Although all of those are crappy names for men or women in my opinion.

to contribute, i met this bytch at the club a couple weeks ago and she had a picture of her son on her cell phone and i was like oh for sure whats that lil nikkas name and she says, "beyonce!" pronounced just like the wife of sean carter-knowles i was like oh hell no.

most these names have historically been mens names...and for whatever reason in the early to mid 20th century a lot of girls were given these names, now we see them as womens names in america. they're still mens names in many foreign countries, tho.

all my west coast heads know an OG thats 60 years old or whatever named Tracy, Stacey, Courtney, etc. Those are strong names in my opinion.
