tumblr and the internet in general also ruined tattoos.

someone has an original idea, then it gets reblogged everywhere then everybody copies it. i'd hate to get an original idea for a tat then a bunch of impressionable trend hoppers steal my idea than i get lumped with them.

Social media ruined personal taste.

My ex and me had a huge fight about that. Especially with me working in a corporate environment. I don't like tattoos on women in general but at the least I wanted her to get them to where they didn't show in a dress. She eventually got them all over her legs, back of her neck, shoulders.

And according to her having tattoos showed that she is an artistic person and interesting. My thought was that if you need a tattoo to show that about yourself, then you really aren't all that artistic or interesting.

I got tats and I plan on getting more :jawalrus:

Got one on my shoulder area and then one on my wrist. Been thinkin' of completin' the whole sleeve. :wow:

And yep, I work a 9-5. Creative 9-5's are cool though. And even if I wasn't in that field, tattoos are a lot less taboo now anyway. I've seen corporate people with sleeves, wrist tats, etc. If you don't get a job because of a tattoo, then trust, there are many other reasons you didn't get that job. Not getting a job because of tats is like not getting a job because you had a spelling error on your resume. Your (perceived) talents obv didn't trump that of other people anyway.

Real talk this is some bullshyt you spewing. Trust, I've been on the hiring side for years and have seen people passed by for dumber reasons then tattoos. I've seen a dude not get a job for mispronouncing the name of a software that our company didn't even use. If you're in a highly competitive field you don't want anything that can hinder your chance at getting a job. Once you are established in your career that's one thing but if you are in the job seeking phase especially after college you have no real experience or skills to lean on. Having tattoos in visible areas can make interviewers perceive you as someone who is not professional or does not take being a professional seriously.

Mispronoucing something means you didn't research the company which means you're probably not interested.

If you are letting go of top tier talent because of a tattoo, you're the idiot, not them. And they shouldn't wanna work for such a close minded fool anyway cause any company with that policy would prob be boring as shyt in today's age. :smugfavre:

I know broads and nikkas with tats across their chests/collarbones/wrists with nice jobs. It's really not that big of a deal unless you work for some old ass white people or a company that's not that advanced/fun where no one would want to work anyway.

I've done production, marketing, b2b and b2c sales, creative, etc. all with a 360 wrist tat. Never had a problem getting jobs or 2nd interviews. :yeshrug:

Love
nowadays everyones tatted up just to be tatted up. there's no meaning behind the tattoos anymore, its just another fashion kick

saw my cousin who I hadn't seen in a while. lil dude is 18 with full sleeves and a neck tattoo :comeon: what life experiences you have that would compel you to have that much work done so early? maybe im oldschool but tattoos are supposed to mean something..its not all about being showy
Those fakkits are a bunch of followers. THey do anything they see done by their favorite entertainer or homeboy

  • Tattoos
  • Saggy pants
  • Their whole style in general.

Just watch the average dude WALK, for example and you'll see even their walk has a certain limp or rythm that was copied from someone else. It fukin' discusting to me that I have to view these clones as my "brothers"
