For me, Missy Elliott was just there. She had a bunch of features and writing credits prior to "The Rain", but nothing clicked until that song dropped. I didn't realize that she was a part of songs that I liked as a featured artist, writer, or producer because I didn't care until that song. This was before the video dropped. It was the first time listening to a song, enjoying it, but still asking "what is this?" I sat in the car June 1997 mind boggled by what I heard.

Interesting choice.Wish him and D.O. did more of the back and forth approach that they did on there. They worked well together without Starang having to do all the heavy lifting on most tracks.
