Women have every right as does a man to avoid the promiscuous, so no double standard exists. Relationships require work, so the question ends up being, why would one man work for what many other men got for free?
It's not to say you are undeserving of love and a committed relationship because of your past, but then again you can't fault a man for not choosing to take on a woman with a storied past... just as you have every right to do the same.

Like I said before... no double standard exists because, in a general sense, women CHOOSE not to call men out on their promiscuity. They have every right to 'playa-shame' and to not deal with men who are known to get around, but really choose not to do so. There is no double standard. it's merely women choosing not to maintain the same standard as men in regards to that particular issue.
Relationships aren't just about sex, but sex is one of the few rewards most modern men can expect in a relationship. If every man got sex from a woman outside the confines of a relationship, why would a man want to engage in a relationship to get what everyone else was getting for much less effort, and on top of that when a woman was in her prime compared to when she is older? Relationships aren't inherently rewarding to men in and of themselves. They must contain some exclusive element within that is more valuable than what can be obtained outside the confines of a relationship.
A woman who has spent her prime years sleeping around and doing any and every nasty thing to men outside of the confines of a relationship just aren't attractive options for commitment to most men. That's just the reality of the situation. Relationships take a lot of work and in order for that work to be worthwhile, any sensible man would expect something exclusive and valuable to him from the relationship which couldn't be obtained outside of it. Sex is a huge factor in that. Unfortunately, a lot of women were reared on the feminist notion that 'women can have it all,' and go buckwild when they are young and expect some white knight to rescue them and provide loving commitment when they get older. Some women luck out and get it, but many don't. Bottom line is, promiscuous women aren't typically considered attractive relationship partners to men.
