Not that obscure but no one had it....everyone at school had PS and N64.

I had PS and Sega Saturn. Shyt had so much potential but Sega was already trying to push the Dreamcast well before SS life cycle was over. Playstation owned that generation for real. Saw the PS at Funcoland back in '97.....6th grade me was done.

Used to love my Zune. Always wondered why Microsoft didn’t push those and put more resources behind keeping that line going..

The era of the PMP (Portable Media Player) was already dying by the time Microsoft threw the Zune into the Fray. It was had MAD potential with it being one of the very first portable devices with Wifi but Microsoft never capitalized and the music sharing feature was half baked. The software SUCKED until the second generation devices and by the time they really had a real killer device with the Zune HD the iphone had already pretty much buried the PMP market. The future of media was smartphones.

I loved all three of the Zune devices I owned. Hardware wise they were well built, and the Zune 80 was very nice looking.

Microsoft was about two years too late. They were competing with ipods when Apple was gearing up to drop the napalm bomb that was the iphone.
