Y'all are big ballers lol, the most I "lent" was $70 and he paid me back. It was a bytch to get back too, he almost took 2 months to pay it back
:mjlol:

What's crazy is the people in my circle that flex on IG and real life; cars, clothes, and iPhones or whatever stay coming to my broke ass asking to borrow money here and there lol. It's like they think I got money because I'm a basic dude... No buddy, I'm just broke.

I don't lend money. If a family member or friend needs it, and I have it, I just give it to them. Something I learned from my Grandfather, which also helps keep a lot of BS from happening in the end. So the amount I am willing to give is $2k at most to a family member I am not married to or have not raised. All of my friends are doing decent, so I have not received a request from a friend since my undergrad days.
Learned this lesson from the parable in the Bible, but yes I lend out based on what I can afford not to get back and then just assume that I won't get it back. If it's family or close friends, I'll let them pay back less, but I do have the option to say no. That's at least a way of protecting myself and my pockets

Most I think is 1.5k

What you got? :usure:
My money back and nothing I wasn’t already getting. It was my exgf but we were way better as just friends so I helped my friend out. :yeshrug:

This was when the govt shutdown and they were backed up with paying military folks. Her school and housing payments were late and just needed a float until they started sending payments like a month later.

Few hundred bucks to a cousin. Yeah they paid me back.

Generally speaking though I don't lend money, as people stated here. I give as a gift in the spirit of thanks, but I don't lend to the same people more than once. Everyone can fall on hard times, but if they keep coming back to you for a loan at some point you're just enabling their bad financial habits

A few thousand to my mom because she needed some heavy dental work. She had finished a big move and hadn't started working yet so she needed some help.

Didn't get it back and could never ask for it because she's already sacrificed so much raising me. Being a good son costs sometimes :manny:

Yea the folks thing is so tricky......you just got to be like "well I guess this a tax for me existing" :snoop:
