I don't lend money. If a family member or friend needs it, and I have it, I just give it to them. Something I learned from my Grandfather, which also helps keep a lot of BS from happening in the end. So the amount I am willing to give is $2k at most to a family member I am not married to or have not raised. All of my friends are doing decent, so I have not received a request from a friend since my undergrad days.

gave my parents a band recently so they can move out into a new place, told them they can pay me back when they can , but honestly dont care if it's paid off nor about a timeline.
