I started small, saving as much as I could per check. What really helped my savings was never spending my tax refund. I would just put it away. I had a goal for each year. My savings have gone way down since starting grad school, but I am getting back to the point were I can save again.

The largest amount? I don't remember the exact amount but I was saving up for a house. Sold my motorcycle to get more money.

Yeah, I wanted to have enough saved for 20% down payment on a house. I did at one point, but grad school and the cost associated with living is no joke. :to:

actually thats real real good

i didnt realize people would rather finance a car before they finance a roof over they head, its crazy

if i can get a good interest rate with my job i might try get get a loft but i dont want a house too much maintenance

it dont make sense unless you stacking

i dont buy once unless i can buy it twice

after a while i dont even care how much i got...i just wanna see my account grow

Pretty much this.

The problem tho is that I start to sacrifice things I want just so I can stack more. Like I won't go on a trip or something cause it's gonna hurt the amount I could otherwise put away.
