'Liquid Swords' is a quintessential Winter album.

I'm going out on a limb with this one, but

It was always the 'Holy Mountain' of hip-hop albums to me.

I didn't think Keith could get any weirder than wearing a cape and a birdcage on his head. Boy, was I wrong :wow: He found that Sci-fi/ Porno/ Horror lane and went all the way in.

The whole vibe of the album felt like being on drugs that were too strong.:damn:

Although, having said that, I was smoking a lot of hash when it came out - maybe it was the hash :jbhmm:

Do you feel like The Infamous sounds darker than Hell on Earth?
i remember hearing kanye talk about dilla's beats in an interview. he went off an a tangent of course. started talkin about how he would learn to do shyt like twist samples after he got it to sound perfect. like do somn to fukk it up a little and make it sound just a bit wrong, then give it to radio like that as a fukk u to the format.

i think that's the difference between the synths n strings on hell on earth vs the infamous. some of them strings, keys, and synths on the infamous just sounded a little wrong. i feel that's what lent to a rawer and deeper sound overall. made it a bit scarier and cacophonous and ultimately a bit more unique.
