Top 10 intro leading up a song of all time. :wow:

Absolute fire!

Also one of rare occasions when you heard a intro or interlude with a fire ass beat, and was disappointed that they wasted a good beat by talking over it, wishing they rhymed to it, then they came back and blessed you...

:blessed:

:lawd:

:banderas:

To this day, I CAN NOT listen to this song while i'm driving... :wow:

as an overall ALBUM producer, meaning crafting an album around a specific theme? Kno from CunningLynguists is underrated as shyt.

East 1999 Eternal by Bone Thugs is the posterchild for that sound. They perfected it.
It's Dark And Hell Is Hot by DMX

aside from the ones mentioned...

The Untouchable - Scarface (The utter definition of this thread)
Death Is Certain - Royce Da 5'9
Aquemini - Outkast (More atmospheric...but def had its dark moments)
Face Off - Pastor Troy

I picture all these albums being recorded in dark ass smokey studios with black lights or candles

Hell On Earth by Mobb Deepā€¦

2Pac going at them and any other NY cats, Scarface Twin getting killed in a accident, Karate Joe getting beat with a bat, etc.

All these events resulted in a dark album made for those cold blistery nights.

A lot of the gun talk by P and Hav were too descriptive.

P talking about putting holes in someoneā€™s shirt like Jamaican clothes,
Mobb Deep flipping Amazing Grace into a murder anthem

If u listen closely to the intro before the gunshots went off on GOD Pt. 3, u can hear P and Hav having The Twilight Zone playing in the background before killing a man
