What's the consensus on Lloyd Banks' best or grimiest work?

I could see that.

I don't know where to start with any G Unit mixtape.

Which have his grimiest work?

And which are like the top 3 G unit mixtapes?

If anyone can answer that.

Thanks again.

Okay CrumpGAWD.

G Unit - 50 Cent is the Future
No Mercy, No Fear
Gods Plan

after that the Shady/Aftermath stank compromises the uncut dope.

I just listened to all of Halloween Havoc 3.
That project is near perfect. To me it's as good or even better than Cold Corner 2.

I can hear it with not thinking one line is bad. So many dope rappers have questionable lines. For many reasons. HH3 has none.

Ppl told me whole Rotton Apple is great. I feel 10 tracks off it are perfect - which is an album in itself.

Hfm - on glance listen has these sing song G Unit choruses - but I will forgo my skim listen and listen to it all.

And I'll check the G unit tapes. The ones mentioned all have branded art with the borders which is dope product differentiation.

I will say for absolute certain while ppl are waiting on COTI - Cold Corner 2 and Halloween Havoc 3 are pretty much perfect mature hip hop albums.

I am excited to check what you guys recommended here.

Again Lyod Banks is a top top tier hip hop artist. Ppl claim goats all the time.

Banks actual music is near perfect.

Ha, cool.

I have to give HFM a serious listen. I skimmed the first few joints but wasn't feeling it as much as cc2. But will check it.

Do you not consider his mixtapes quality?

Only his albums?

Respect for appreciating him so much.

HFM = album

Cc2 = mixtape

His grimiest shyt gotta be Rotten Apple

Stranger
Know The Deal
Change
Cake
Survival
Gilmores

Not his best project but ain't no positive messages in them songs lol
Rotten Apple was all over the map, not very cohesive, and a mixed bag...but in hindsight it’s crazy that an album with so many songs like that was considered a commercial release in 2006. I’d even add Get Clapped, the title track, NY NY, and Make a Move to your list.

No doubt. 20 tracks is 2 albums. Even illmatic was around 10.

My extracted list from Rotten Apple is
Cake
Ny NY
Change
Stranger
Get Clapped
Gilmore's
You know the deal
Help - cause it sounds good
One night stand - same

Gonna check out the others you mentioned. Thank you.

FNO, Cold Corner 2, and V5 are my favorite bodies of Banks music post punchline phase.

And obviously if we’re talking super early Banks, I love Hunger For More, and Money In The Bank 2, 4, and 5.

Dope. Thank you. I've got a solid list to check now.

FNO is his best. If it was an album would be five mics. Grimiest idk...one of his early Top 5 mixtapes maybe.

There should be a zip with all the g unit radio mixtapes
But as far as unit tapes, get:
Automatic gunfire
Return of the body snatchers
The lost flash drive
50 cent is the future
No mercy no fear
Gods plan

the first blue Friday and second blue Friday series is heat. I can tell you which songs are on the first one cause it’s kinda unofficial(I got some additional songs added on there nothing much tho maybe 2 or 3 tracks extra)

as far as grimey work, v5, cc1 and cc2 which you already have,Halloween havoc 2 and 3, 4-30-82 aka reborn and then the AON series

My fault none of this is in order

Man just get all his official tapes. I’m not crazy about rotten apple tbh and big withdraw is alright but not worth keeping imo I still recommend you listen.

All his tapes are on datpiff and worth a listen so I’d start from the beginning and just go in order then listen to the unit tapes cause it’s really just a verse per song so it ain’t as important but you’re gonna hear some piff regardless

Thank you for both of your replies. I appreciate all of that. It's inspiring to see so many real fans of Llyod Banks. That's what's up. I'm going to try to listen to all of it.
