I think it more just came down to he didn't really have shyt to diss Common on. Smarter to just throw a couple lines in response and leave it be.

Cube said he went after Common because of what he said about the West Coast on I Used To Love Her. When you listen to that song it's very understandable how Cube coulda felt a type of way enough to start throwing shots. One can say Cube was actually firing back with Westside Slaughterhouse.

I understand why Cube dissed him and it’s my point. If Common is big enough to respond to his song, then Cube couldn’t turn around and use the excuse that Common ain’t a big enough name to respond back to.

Nas clippin Jayz

Canibus clippin LL Cool J really but history/Def Jam tried to spin that one like it was actually close/LL won, in real time such was not the case at all.

Nas and Jay Z are seen at the same levels, some have Nas over Jay Z.

how was that an upset?

the real answer is Pusha T over Drake

MGK vs. Eminem

Everyone was supposed to be scared of Eminem when it came to a battle, but MGK gave him a run for his money. He'd never be more popular, but I still think he won that beef and prefer Rap Devil to the Em disses.

MGK WASHED Eminem but the interscope machine and stans try to make it seem not true.

The bytch in you to this day is one of the most damming diss tracks ever

To this day every single thing Common said was facts imo that’s the legit rare one punch knockout track

No doubt. I hear you. the "Muslim drinking brew" line was the gut punch. But I didn't see it as an upset because Cube was just bigger then Common (pause). Common was still an underground rapper and the song was a moment because it was well put together while being aimed at one of raps biggest stars. Cubes response on Hoo Banging remix was light because I truly believe Cube didn't think Common was big enough to address like he did with Cypress Hill who were major. Farrakhan getting in the middle of it stopped Cube from possibly doing any further damage. Mind you Farrakhan jumped in after 2pacs death so the gesture was to end the beef so things don't go further. The aura after Pacs death had rap beef looking like things were getting out of hand so Common gave us Takeover but the beach was squashed before Cube coulda pulled out the Ether. We will never know if Cube coulda dropped that Ether cuz it was squashed.

I'm absolutely positive you have your timeline mixed up here breh :francis:

it's ok to admit Cube took an L.

Cube took offense to "I Used to Love Her" off of Com's Resurrection album, Com responded in kind, and the rest is history. Everything else you doing is
