I've had about three 20-30% increases on the same job, they always came with a promotion...

I've left one job for another and have had even bigger increases, most recently being a 95% salary increase leaving one company for a higher position at a different company...

When I became a software engineer....$90,000 pay increase...but I acted like I've been there before lol

Bruh it's all in how you play the game, I had to learn how to play these muhfukkas games and talk they language....

I'm in a very common service industry that doesn't really pay well at the staff level, but you can run it up if you start getting into senior positions. I was told years ago to learn how to speak their language, and when you back it up with your play, they gone pay what you weigh...or you take your talents elsewhere, I've done this many times...

Lotta trial and error too, but you can build equity for some serious paydays...

I literally just went up 70k plus no state tax :wow:

I made a thread a couple weeks ago during my interview visit. Got the job a few days later....

Start in a month

Did you give them a salary range or was that the understood salary for the role?

Describe the feeling when you got that offer letter

Nice!

When did it hit you just how much more you would be making? First check?
I dont even know..I was just excited to find a job because I was grinding for a minute...but when that first check came...:shaq:

Till this day it feels like I'm stealing money because to me all I'm doing is writing a couple scripts, fixing some code and maintaining the companies infrastructure..something I would do during my free time. Also a lot of times i would come into work, work on a topic I had for an hour, finish it and basically be done with work. Most of the time i would try to learn something new but a couple times I would watch a TV show or walk around the city and work out a bit...plus every Friday its work from home...I love my job

Of course intern to full time promotion went from 10 an hour to 60K a year and that was in 2011. In 7 months of 2019 I am jumping close to 30 grand between two jobs.

Always lie about how much you make. Add about 10k to your salary or more when switching jobs and never take the max position unless its manager or lead or director.

For example if you are a system analyst dont leave your job going for senior because once a senior it is hard to move up salary ranks within the organization unless major promotion to management. Take the lesser role but with the high end of that salary range and then get promoted to senior as you will make out with more and leadway for promotions

Philly born. PG raised
They pay scale was put out there during the first call.

They actually approached me for the job so i used it to leverage like 10k more.

The feeling was crazy because the interview process was so tough. A full day of interviews about 8hours. So when i got the offer i damn near lost it breh.

I still think it hasn’t hit me because i got a lot of shyt going on coordinating this move.

But the crazy thing is i will not be bringing home more monthly by myself than what me and my girl was bringing in together

:whew: Savings bout to be crazy
