What’s the best storyline/angle ever?

Vince vs Shane storyline that ended at Mania 17. Story was so good the crowd went crazy when Linda simply stood up out of a chair.

I'm sure there are better ones, but when i think of wrestling storylines/angles this if one of my favorites.

-Bret gets frustrated... it's teased for months and he has a real reason for it. He's always screwed
-Bret finally snaps
-Bret recruits his family
-Bret wages war on Stone Cold and the rest of WWF
-Bret's a hero in Canada and a major heel in the U.S.

They played all that perfectly..

Interesting thing is that it culminated in Bret getting real life screwed in Canada

Damn that Mega Powers angle was when I first started watching, I'd forgotten how great all that was.

Still, for me personally my GOAT is the NWO from Hall showing up through Starrcade 97. I was almost done with wrestling all together when my brother mentioned "Razor Ramon showed up on WCW talking shyt..." after that I was hooked, at the TV every Monday at 5pm

The nwo shyt is goated. But did that whole angle storyline produce any classic matches? There had to be some but I’m drawing a complete blank. The highlight of the shyt to me was Nash throwing Rey into the production truck.

Hard to top Montreal screw job as far as drama/intrigue

What makes that so amazing is that it was a real life incident that just so happen to PERFECTLY pay off the kayfabe storyline they'd been running ever since the Ironman match got restarted at WrestleMania 12. Bret's whole descent into a heel was feuled by his paranoia that the WWF and HBK were tryng to screw him over...and in the end, he was right

If Austin/McMahon would've simply ended with the Stephanie McMahon rescue and left it at that with no Higher Power shenanigans, it would've been PERFECT.

That was such a great conclusion - Vince finally reaches his wit's end at WM15, decides "fukk this shyt, I'm done trying to stop him" and then Shane tries to force him out.
