You can peep season 1 but the show is an anthology really. Different story each season so you're fine without it

For what it's worth, so far Season 2 of Fargo has been some of the best television I've seen in my life. shyt has the most edge of your seat intense scenes since Breaking Bad.
Another vote for Fargo and I'd say its the better season of the 2 but both are really good. You can start with season 2 but I'd still recommend going back and watching Season 1.
Looks like I need to start watching The Knick, start S4 Homeland, and give The Leftovers a chance.
