The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Basically, season 1 was amazing. After that, it's been kinda boring tho. Like other dude said, it seems like they're just kinda going from place-to-place, looking for their next meal. Not much point to surviving.

They're trying to establish a residence before they expand and look for answers.
What should they do?

:ld: Co-sign T/S. My roommates love the show and have made me watch like 3 episodes. Everytime the credits roll I'm just like :manny:

By "they" you mean the writers or the characters in the show?

We need more shyt like in S1 where they found the CDC lab and learned about the disease. Less shyt where people are standing around arguing about how hungry they are. Some kind of progress towards a resolution.

The characters. They don't want to run, plus Lori was pregnant. They needed to establish a residence before they could move to finding answers.

im sure the writers should be able to come up with something that says "this is why struggling to survive is worth it". whether the survivors are made to know about it during the whole season or not is not necessarily needed. they could survive simply off of faith or hope in the unseen, but the camera always has what people in the writing profession refer to as "god's eye view", so the viewers can know more than the characters.

Yea that'd be nice. You'd think by now we would at least have seen where the helicopters (season 1) were coming from / going to.

I don't think the writers want to give the viewers hope and if they do it's a season ender

They said prison could last next season too

i think a lot of their decisions have been based on budget. AMC is notoriously cheap. they overused the farm, and now they want to overuse the prison.

and they should want to give the viewers hope, cuz i think eventually this show is going to wear people out and all you will have left are gore lovers who are more of a niche audience. this shows numbers are so big that it is attracting your typical tv drama viewer who like happy endings and closure.

i suspect the chopper from season 3 explains that, just government forces that by now are overrun and not capable of helping anybody. it would also explain the nihilism of the CDC guy. he would be in the government loop, and what he knew left him suicidal. :to:

How do u even get a happy ending?

I'd settle for "Lori and Shane's baby doesn't carry the disease because of something placental." Leading to the discovery that the virus can't be passed mother-to-child, and life will eventually go on. Everyone else can die after that.

nothing perfect, but a society that looks like the governor's but not run by a madman could be one option.

an abrupt ending to the zombies could be another option. we dont know much about their nature, what if the thing that is in them has an expiration date?

of course, i have never read the comics, so the comics may have already dealt with all this. i am speaking from complete ignorance on the end game of this story.
