But this thread worries me.

I hope you guys are being financially responsible outchea. If you are running up credit card debt with the hope of bankruptcy or debt forgiveness.... please rethink your financial plan:francis:

I have purchased cars 4times in my life and a house once. All of which can be potentially impacted by the amount of.credit card debt you have, regardless of if you are making payments or not.

Student loans have not factored jnto that once for me.

What part of this do.you find difficult to understand? You keep on talking about the fact that student loans dont go away. We are talking about crippling, ie things actually impacting you.

What things have you done in your life that were made more difficult due to the amount of student loans you have???

Please inform me:jbhmm:
No problem I live in LA but in new York do people drive (no) do people buy houses (no) so technically how would it cripple my life if I paid it or not:ohhh: vs student loans will be debt you have forever how don't you understand that. I know you're programmed to live the American dream of acquiring debt(major debt) houses and cars but contrary to popular belief you don't have to use credit if you don't want to my guy. :ohhh:So to answer your question it only impacts YOUR life where if you have a student loans it will affect you or your children if you leave anything behind now or later.

Yeah I don’t think it’s a simple as that; let me rack up 50k in credit card debt, don’t pay, and I’m good.

If I do it again, I just won’t pay and file for bankruptcy again.

I can see if you made an attempt to pay or if the debt was small, but I don’t feel like it’s as easy as that.

we need to use credit for what it is breh we aren't the only people with bad credit we are just people who want to buy stuff that we cant afford or don't need. People buying brand new cars and big houses for absolutely no reason. Credit is great to be in DEBT remember that.

I cannot buy a home outright in cash, and im 1st generation so im not inheriting a home from my parents or anything like that.

But i agree... everyone is different.:yeshrug:

Im not really gonna argue anymore, ive just seen so many people, families, and marriages destroyed by credit card debt.

Seen grown men cry over it.

I dont want yall to think its a joke

i had bad credit and took me like a year to get back to great credit

one of the best things i did is to get a secured cc and a visa debit (visa tied to my chequing account)

I agree with literally everything you said but im just giving the other perspective of it where you don't need to even get in debt in the first place. I'd much rather leave my kid life insurance money over a house but that's another conversation.

My homegirl's student loans are $1000+/month but she's making big guap and living in a small town in Kentucky where her rent is only $600/month. Before she found that job, she was making decent money but she was big struggling and would break down crying regularly because she was so broke.

How was she so broke? I thought you could lower loans with a repayment plan based on income?

How much was she paying then?

Glad my ROI for my education is extremely high. I'll have mine paid off in 2 year albeit I gotta stay at the crib :yeshrug:

At 26 with no debt making 90k+?

:manny: I can suffer without my own place for a year or two
Just paid off my credit card too and my score is looking immaculate. :mjlit:
