:what: you can get motherboards with fast boot up times that have no connection to SSD drives at all..

and SSD dont improve gaming much :mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:

I bought an SSD drive for my macbook a few months ago. It made all my games run a lot faster, and I can generally multitask without losing any speed. I'm loving it.

I'm not a gamer either....and I have a pair of SSDs.

One holds the OS and Adobe CS5.5 :smugdraper:

The other is for the project I'm working on at that given moment....scratch disks, etc.

But are they 60 GB :usure:

The project one is.

I made the mistake of buying that one first for the OS...and then it became a pain in the ass installing programs and their plugins on different hard drives :smh:

So I started over and put the OS and programs on a 128....so yeah, don't attempt to use just a 64GB....will cause many headaches

Do tell how an SSD improves in game performance? All an SSD does for games is faster initial load times. Games don't run off your drives, they run off of memory.

:russ: first off, games run off multiple components in your computer.. for instance some games require almost no memory at all to run them. While some are more processor related like Battlefield games, your hard drive is constantly working around games as well that is why hard drive speed is important, its a mixture of everything in your computer that makes a game run smooth.

The simple fact that you think games are ran off of memory lets me know you really dont want to have this discussion.. I mean Battlefield 3 came out last year, one of the most popular games, and is more reliant on your processor than your memory.

Guild Wars 2 just came out and is more reliant on CPU than anything else.

:snoop: VRAM is being used up because of the resolution you are playing at with a mixture of AA and other shyt
