What's good on SSD hard drives?

A little under $1 per gig is about the going rate for anything quality.

Right now it's only really worth using for your OS and video games, while having your other files (documents, pictures, music etc) on a traditional hard drive. You can't go wrong with either the Crucial M4 or the Samsung 830 in terms of SSD, with the Samsung having probably the best reliability available right now on the market.

If you have a laptop that has an mSATA connector, you can put an mSATA SSD inside and still keep your regular hard drive to store music and movies. Those cost a bit more than a regular SSD, though.
