He's another in a long line of people who are given a cool theme or cool entrance and nothing else. He's also one of the ones sent out there to wrestle random matches and just coast off their "indynational" cred. His debut was in April. We're two days shy of August and I don't think he's cut a single in ring promo or had a backstage interview to get across whatever his character is supposed to be.
The guy is a real life satanist and heavily influenced by the occult, but they don't really do anything with it outside of graphics. I will say that I've enjoyed every match since his debut a lot more than his debut.
An optimist might say that maybe they're saving the character oriented stuff with him for the main roster, where it'll be needed in order for him to get over. They might have learned their lesson from the Bayley, American Alpha failures which stemmed from having too much of their story play out in NXT.
