...that we should not stop until there is Universal Healthcare in this country.

It's a disgrace that her parents and family need assistance for such a thing. We failed as a society when something like this occurs, and it occurs everyday.

If you go on sites like Reddit and others, you'd see that this is very common.

Piece of shyt country.

I mean fukk, can't we at least come to a compromise and give universal health care to all children below the age of 16 or 18?

We have money to kill people, bribe governments, keep greedy banks afloat, pensions to rich politicians and we can't fukking provide healthcare for our children? I don't care if they come from another country for treatment. It's basic common sense and decency.

I don't blame the Conservative, pro-business party for this shyt brother.

I put the blame right on the "progressive" party, dating back to Truman.

I'm don't know about the historical efforts before Clinton... but listening to Reagan I think the Cold War really had a lot of people shook for a long time and put them on the defensive about government programs.. imagine how people used the 9/11 & Iraq War in 2004 and imagine that for 30 years

but yeah something could have been done in the early 90s if the insurers hadn't mobilized so fiercely .. it's a shame, Dems lost the house in 1994 cause of healthcare (among other issues) and lost it in 2010 again over this.. I salute them for doing the right thing.

It's a sad terrible situation but the reason the bill is so ridiculous is because of the entire industry being so reliant on insurance to begin with...when companies are paying for things instead of people prices become astronomical in terms of what it should be had their been a true market for these services and products but there isn't. Not to mention these insurances aren't even allowed to compete nationally either. But the truth is you don't need to give universal healthcare to fund those who truly can't afford the healthcare the price of actually funding those who don't have insurance I think was like 25 billion or something small like that...why can't we just create a fund to take care of those who legitamately can't afford it and allow the market to better compete and be able to being costs down with less regulation and more competition. The solution doesn't have to be either extreme a fair compromise where a true need national charity is created when no other funds are available and a thorough way of being able to prove that there is no insurance and no viable income to pay for life saving medical costs...while allowing for more competition from insurance companies.

I think the issue is no one can legitimately afford health care skip.

I can't and I'm pretty well off.

We need to get rid of the middle man, no more health insurance companies.

We're talking about children here. It shouldn't even be an issue of contention man.

Children.
