I don't think y'all fully grasp what deepfukkingvalue did. by posting an update of his position on "superstonk" subreddit and not wallstreetbets he's put many major news outlets in the position of reporting on his update and saying the subreddits name. I don't think i've ever seen a major news outlet mention superstonk subreddit by name, it's either reddit or wallstreetbets. once they mention superstonk then it'll draw even more attention to the due diligence that's on that subreddit and possibly get more people to invest in the stock. that is something the hedge funds do not want to happen under any circumstance.

Great explanation

this video provides a clear and concise breakdown for the layman, but it ignores one key component to this consipiracy.

these brokers who we - the stockholders - avail to buy and sell stocks are issuing phony markers of purchase that would indicate we own these stocks when, in fact, they are merely ious that the brokers - robinhood, fidelity, webull, et. al. - exchange for our money.

and these brokers conspire with the hedge funds, who then short the stocks we’ve purchased, allowing the brokers to net a profit when exasperated stockholders eventually sell at a loss.

this is one of the key reasons why retail’s insistence on buying and holding GME is steadily chipping away at the liquidity of wall street. they literally can’t afford for us to keep buying and holding.

Looking at the last time DFV posted his number 3 years ago it look like he purchase between 200K - 4.2M shares since then (not counting the option contracts). It hard to tell since there was a 4 to 1 stock split in June 2022. In April 2021 he had 200K shares so those share would be 800K now with the 4 to 1 split. So it look like he been holding and buying a lot more since then.

If you include the options contract he owns about 5.5% of Game Stop stocks (17M shares/306.19M total of GME stock = 5.55%).

Got to give him credit for sticking to his beliefs on GME. Personally I lost more money by being to conservatives, too risky on companies I know little about (Nio, Planet 13) or not investing in companies that I know make a good product until it way too late (Nvida the main one).

FOMO right in my guy :pachaha:
:mjlol:It's the people who think it's going to go nuclear who are always the ones disappointed. I would have literally made enough money to retire if I had purchased a leap when it was around 60 a couple of years back.

so, this news kind of makes me nervous. what is stopping him from unloading those shares the minute this loses a zero? that unrealized profit would make him a billionaire.

let’s say, for shyts and giggles, this went parabolic and hit the thousands. he would be looking at hundreds of billions.

it’s just inconceivable.
