Typical protect the rich laws. They did it so that flash traders can make money off millisecond algorithm trading (that retail can’t do), but if one of their algorithms screws up big they can unplug the stock before they lose too much money.

I think they are complaining about the fact that the halts even exists in the first place in which case I agree with them, Crypto doesn't do that if it tanks it tanks if it does a 1000x it will just keep going up

eh im not a firm believer of this I fully believe robinhood halted themselves on the original GME / AMC runs

although im sure their are cases its halted due to massive moves. But it should also learn itself to not halt if its same stock and its just the big companies losing
