Philly bouls, Trust the Process
I disagree. Bledsoe is the better player, why not get him instead of George Hill?
Multiple reasons. First, Bledsoe has shown to be a malcontent in situations he doesn't like. Breh was like get me the hell out of Phoenix, I expected him to treat New Orleans the same coming from a competitive crew in Milwaukee. Second, he doesn't fit in the first place. He's a poor floor spacer - not the kind of PG you want with Zion. Third, his contract. This is the biggest part. When they acquired Bledsoe he had 3 years of his deal left for a good amount of money. Not only would he have blocked up cap space if they kept him, but they had to give up assets just to trade the guy and clear the space they would've had if they took on George Hill and his expiring contract.

In addition to being an expiring contract preserving future cap space, Hill is a guy who could've returned value by the deadline if they wanted to move him - note OKC got a young big and two seconds for him. The opposite of the Bledsoe situation. Furthermore, he's a good veteran presence which would've helped the young guards grow, his steady and efficient low turnover style of play would've been good for the team, and he can actually space the floor. In pretty much every single way he was the opposite of Bledsoe

Zion isn't turning down the max extension from NO when it's offered after this season.

End thread.
Unique mix of a player who's already made some real money (got 5/$75m from Nike before he ever stepped foot on an NBA court) and has some well documented issues with his inaugural team (I can't remember any draftee having this much smoke about being happy barely three years in other than Porzingis and his brother?).

KP never got a chance to have that rubber meet the road since he got his trade pre-extension, and I don't think Zion's gonna turn it down - but he feels like the first real possibility of it happening.

Time to move them to Seattle.

This organization has been given enough chances.
What does the organization have to do with the city? They could have easily won a championship if they weren’t so inept as an organization but that doesn’t have anything to do with the city

We’re talking about $173 million with the potential of $207 million if he hits incentives. With his injury history and weight issues, he’d be a fool to turn down that money.

Take the money and then worry about leaving after.

The owner needs to get on the right page with Zion and see if they can salvage what seems to be bad relationship right now. Even if/when he signs the max deal it won't matter if he barely plays or isn't giving 100 percent effort. Griffin needs to go asap and they need to hire someone with a clear vision and who someone who can build around Zion and Ingram. If the Pelicans fukk this up after losing CP3 and AD already they deserve to be contracted or moved to another city.
