Adequate stretching should be goodIm 21 now, havent hooped since i left HS. I still try to ball 4-5 times a week but cant for a while.
I had microtears on the supraspinatus but never got it checked out. Pain wasnt that bad, shyt just degraded over time until it tore. The night it tore i didnt sleep one minute. Shyt was so painful... Dont wish that on anyone.
I didnt know at the time but i was neglecting the smaller muscles in my shoulders while lifting... Make sure you dont do that.
