I hate this whole "Angry Black Man" mantra. The people who would classify Obama as such, for merely being aggressive/assertive, probably weren't going to vote for his ass anyway.

As a Black Man myself, I hate it too but it's the reality. Every time a Black man stands up for himself or gets assertive, we are called "Angry" and "Aggressive". You can take this back to civil rights movement. They did to "X" which is why Martin took a different approach and they still got on him too. It's sad that Black Men have to act a certain way but that's the reality. Obama isn't running for President of Black America but President of America and most of America is White. That's just real. But ask any Black Man what they have to deal with at Work if they get assertive at all and get that "Oh he's angry black man" face. The fact is sadly Black Men are judge differently on how they react to things. Obama has to walk that fine line.

Romney 50%, Obama 46% Among Likely Voters

gallup likely voters...can't see much changing tonight in townhall format honestly...main narrative is Lagging record vs man who has fixed things in the past

regardless of likeability...swag factor at the end of the day its about who is going to look like they can fix problems...and usually its the boring clean cut number cruncher who will get hired...no hollywood jay z pop culture icons can change that perception at this point unless last jobs report is phenomenal

No doubt, bro. I'm not naive enough to believe that Obama doesn't face the difficulties you outlined (I'm 1/2 black, I experience them first hand). I'm just saying I wish he would stop attempting to appease a constituency that no matter what will not support him, while at the same time disenfranchising his base. The people who will say he's an angry black are the people calling him a muslim/socialist/kenyan dictator :mjpls:

It's frustrating...I'm not asking him to go Malcolm on 'em. But if you don't call out their lies, you legitimize their statements in the eyes of a low-info voter.

yall n1ggas need to stop perpetuating that bullsh1t because it only goes to keep YOU in a box. having to tiptoe around foolishness because you're black?? :rudy: come on.

as long as u dont come out threatening to kill people. you're good. if someone wrongs u, speak the fucck up..and refrain from violent threats.
