Luda, Shawnna, Field Mob, I-20, Playaz Circle, Serius Jones was cool, Chingy and Bobby V were getting radio play consistently. I still listen to I-20’s album today

Looking back, I don't think it was squandered as much as it was that 2005-2010 transition from physical to ringtones to iTunes to eventually streaming. That's a real dark time as far as careers and promoting.

Very few artists lasted from then until the Blog Rap era of Drake, J Cole, ASAP, and eventually a rebranded 2 Chainz.
