What year was it when you actually started to like/appreciate John Cena?

I never liked Cena. I laughed at him going over DX back to back years. The IWC really thought Cripple H was gonna CRUSH Cena at WM 22. The hate for him was at it's peak. He's too condescending..has NO GREAT ALL TIME storylines except WM 28. And I despised how he buried Wade Barrett in 2010 after Summerslam. I told you all from the get go in 2005....the fans are gonna turn on that Chain Gang shyt. Low and behold....they did that backyard rap video debut on Raw where he was surrounded by white folks and the crowd booed that.

The Eddie mini feud made me a fan, then I just couldn't really get into his babyface main event character up until the Umaga feud, I think. Still, his feud with Orton in 09 (I think it was that year) was the first time I quit watching WWE :pachaha:

Yeah I tapped out a lil bit when they kept rematching. shyt was as bad as all them HHH/Rock matches in 2000.

I'm so glad that no company runs the same main event that many times in a row anymore. Last time I really recall seeing it was Cody vs Seth.

I mean I’ve liked him at different points throughout his career

But I’ve also disliked him going over so many of my favorites

But I guess I appreciated his greatness around the US Open Challenge era and his feud with AJ Styles

idk its kind of a roller coaster because for like every dope match in one of his feuds, it was always followed by some :snoop: decision.

Lost to Wade Barrett and was supposed to be banished :leon: could've made for interesting tv where Nexus ran around unchecked without the biggest star there to fight against them.

He showed up every week afterwards beating them up to the point where Nexus asked for him to return so they could stop getting beat up :pacspit:

I liked him losing every big match over the last ten years

I’ll give him much respect for how he handle the Rvd Match in ecw and the punk match in Chicago

But he was stale as fukk from 2006-2014 mostly

I always liked Cena. I grew bored with his white collar babyface run like many but I never despised him or anything.

I still maintain he isn't on Hogan, Rock, or Austin tier. He was over and the kids loved him, and he did it longer than damn near everyone. But that doesn't equate GOAT to me. Cena never had a peak like Hogan, Rock, or Austin. Never.

I honestly never disliked him. I stopped watching wrestling full time/consistently in late 2001. I watched off and on throughout the 2000s. Mainly during big events like the Raw 10th anniversary(2003), when Eddie died, Raw going back to USA, Benoit's murder/suicide, etc. I had friends who continued to watch and had an idea of what was going on based on messageboards and MySpace :flabbynsick: :flabbynsick::flabbynsick::flabbynsick:. I didn't start to watch again full time until the Pipe Bomb buzz in 2011. From what I saw of Cena, I had no issues with him because I wasn't watching enough to really form an opinion. :manny:
