my brother has dreads down to his ass because he just let his hair grow and stopped picking it out. They're clean too. never twisted them either. he does have some cyborg dreads that latched on to another dread so its like two dreads in one. that shyt looks cool to me though. gives the dreads character imo.

Use some conditioner and a detangling comb then I either braid or twist it so it doesn't get matted.
