I don't think parking would be an issue:

Things like this vertical stack will become commonplace in a few. Also by the time they drip feed this tech onto the scene they'll be totally self flying with their own navigation beacons to prevent crashes etc... as everything will be invisibly sectioned off as people Jetsons that way and this. The other major shift that will happen before then is in terms of propulsion as they won't be using combustion or solar but a process that reduces the gravity field around the ship. Like a bee. Probably using Mercury and a turbine/frequency generator.

Funnily enough if you read some ancient scriptures and legends they say exactly the same thing. Nothing new under the Sun, eh?

Pollution would be just as bad; just in a different way.

You are thinking, "what if I, me, myself, had a flying car", not what would it look like if 3 billion people had access to flying cars.

There would be crash debris EVERYWHERE.

The earth would suffer a cool down in spots because of the higher flying cars fly in the sky, the more the sun gets blocked out.

shyt would be a disaster unless flying cars would be limited to law enforcement. ambulatory and other specialized fields.

A complete clusterfukk. We already had Trevor Jacob bail out of a plane for no reason other than clicks on Youtube. Saw another vid of some dude buzzing a farm as well (regs say you can't fly within 500 feet of people unless it's an emergency).

Among other issues are:

Emergencies: There's no shoulders in the air, and you can't just simply land anywhere without considering the surrounding terrain (mountains, powerlines, other obstacles). What if someone has a medical emergency in the air.

Weather: Most people don't even check the weather before leaving to grab a jacket. Can you imagine a low cloud layer with low visibility.

Regulations: There's a reason the FAR/AIM looks like a bible. Do you think these republican types will be down to follow rules that infringe on their "freedom"?

Insurance: Self-Explanatory

Pollution: Way worse considering the amount of vehicles on the road.

Airspace: How many are going to be violating airspace over the Dodgers game or the White House.

You know when people drive up to Area 51 to troll the security guards? Yeah, you might get escorted out by F-16 with express permission to shoot you down if you try any funny business.

Airfields: Going to need a place to park those flying cars.

Traffic,: Everyone trying to get to the same place at one time is going to create traffic jams, so you'll be flying in a holding pattern for a long time before you get your turn to fly.

Drunk drivers trunk to drunk pilots. Or while you're out recording a tiktok, you fly into a building. Or you have a situation where that lady rammed into that intersection here in LA, but now in the air. Majority of people can barely drive.

Nah, just give me a train, fam.

The barrier of entry and the level of not just skill acquisition, but skill maintenance is paramount. Not to mention the cost. 100LL fuel is currently $7.42/gal. A Cessna 172 takes about 40 gals. If you lean the mixture, you're looking at a burn rate of 8 gals per hour. So every 5 hours or so of flight time, you've go to pay close 320 dollars for a tank of gas. How many people forgo maintenance on their cars, now you want them to maintain an aircraft?
