What were your favorite children books growing up

Matilda, BFG, The Witches, all of the goosebumps books, babysitters club book, hardy boys and Stephen King (wasn't allowed to read his books but I'd sneak read in the library lol).

I remember all these. Also Nancy Drew and Amelia Bedelia

I read far more advanced books as a kid, so childrens books were kinda limited. What you know about reading the newspaper at 4

my first "adult" novel was between 8-10 years old and it was either The Shining or Pet Cemetary. I had to sneak and read Steven Kings books at the Library lol and when I finally got a library card I checked out his books and read them in the closet at home my mom and dad didn't want me reading that kinda material but far cry from the RL, Stine. I had nightmares for weeks during and after reading Steven Kings novles
