What was your opinion of The Dreamer/The Believer by Common

I enjoyed it as much as I could when it dropped. I’m in a minority that like “nobody’s smiling” more. I like all of Com’s albums except for Universal Mind Control. I’m also not the biggest No ID fan, but I loved his work on “One day it Will All Make Sense” (my favorite common album, though I think “like water for chocolate” is his best/strongest overall.

not really. Resurrection and One day it'll all make sense are just as good if not better. LWFC just introduced the mainstream to Common. After that, he released EC(that I only appreciated many years later after I started making the same funk music) BE solidified his position in the mainstream with a Kanye cosign. Ressurection, One Day, and LWFC are all great albums though and many people have one of these 3 as their favorites. I will agree that I like them all except UMC. That shyt was terrible. I don't know what direction he was going for with the Neptunes.

lol Electric Circus is a personal classic, but I rarely bring it up because I know everyone will come tear it to shreds

It's a great album. I bumped it a month ago. I think the diss to Drake was out of place on the album. Should have been a bonus track. The only Common albums I don't like are UMC and Nobody Smiling.

I enjoyed the album.

I just hate everything got overshadowed because this was around the time of the Drake and Common beef.
