Magic Stick wasn't poppin off like that. 21 Questions was the necessary chick song every album has. It wasn't a bad song either. Candy Shop...just the fukking name Candy Shop sounds like some poppy gay shyt. I liked The Massacre man I'm going to have to check it out again haven't listened to it in a minute.

Magic Stick was huge bruh. Remember the backlash when Lil Kim and 50 didn't release a video for it.

I know Magic Stick eventually blew up but when Fif first came on the scene it wasn't out there like that. I think Magic Stick got popular after 50 was famous. My history might be messed up cause I wasn't on the internet like that back then but I don't remember hearing about it till waaaaaaay later. Then was there some issue between Lil Kim and 50 Cent over this song?

Magic Stick was on Lil' Kim's album, which dropped like a month after GRODT...

It was hit damn near immediately... wasn't even a single yet and was getting played on the radio. That was when 50 coulda hummed on a song and that shyt woulda gotten played, but it definitely popped. It was #2 in the country without a video back when videos still carried some weight... it was poppin'.

Candy Shop was like "Oh, ok. Don't like it but whatever"

Amusement Park was the EXACT moment I was like "this guy is falling off. Hard."

I remember it very well. Honestly the song did what it was suppose to do. It was a Club Record and it bumped in the club. Man in 2005, 50 was at the apex of his career. I mean he had "Candy Shop" and "Disco Inferno" then he hit em with "Just a Little Bit'. Then he had "Hate it or Love It" from game around that time too. I mean say what you will 50's single game was on point. Also with it being the 7th Anniversary of "The Massacre" passing, compared to the last 2 50 albums, that album actually was solid. Yes the Club records were very "Ja Rule" style so 50 pretty much fooled all the fickle rap fans into hating Ja Rule so he could slide right into that "Thug with a heart" role. But again the point of "Candy Shop" was to blaze the clubs and it did that. Sure lyrically it was terrible but that doesn't matter. Sh!t had mad chick shaking they asses.

Candy Shop = #1 Hot 100
Disco Inferno = #3 Hot 100
Just a lil Bit = #3 Hot 100

'Amusement Park' was a disaster, was 'Curtis' the first album with the multiple failed singles?....I want to do a thread on 'Curtis', I tried to convince myself that shyt was good too, and I wasn't even a 50 fan like THAT. I was just so into the whole thing, i grabbed both albums, was like 'This 50 is straight'. No, no, it wasn't.

Always preferred 'The Massacre' to 'Get Rich', I've gotten really extreme reactions from that, but just go back tell me you can listen to 'Get Rich' with a straight face, if 50 isn't the most pandering, insincere rapper, on most of the tracks. I had to cut 'High All the Time' off the other day, cool beats, but the lyrics....'The Massacre' was a lot better, the street tracks were fire, well rounded lyrics, top level production.

And, 'Magic Stick' was EVERYWHERE in summer 2003. 'Women' loved that track, one girl in particular I'm thinking of, used to drag that Lil' Kim album around with her and shyt, in and out of cars, beds, houses.

Anyone saying "Magic Stick" wasn't a hit is crazy. Actually it was Lil Kim last Biggest Hit. That song was huge. The fact it almost went #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 without a video shows you popular it was. Also, I actually liked "Magic Stick 2: You wanna Lick This" also:

SINY!!
Candy Shop was:trash:status.......

The Massacre could have been a solid album....but 22-23 tracks= way too much filler (especially the mainstream stuff)....to me it was decent but replay value dipped really quick

With Magic Stick......hell at that time I was doing a lot of traveling, and whether it was in Mexico, Europe, South America....it was getting heavy play!!

Before I Self Destruct was full of more fail than Curtis.

Curtis was slightly fail. But you could sort of convince yourself it wasn't.

BISD was undeniable fail.
