For one, it was boring...there were no stakes and it FELT like a movie...it didn't make me care for the characters or the danger in the actions...shyt was disengaged from the audience...boring and no fun

Marky mark is terrible in the lead for one. He's just boring in that role. The subtext is mostly gone and the bits that are there aren't done much with (slavery, civil rights, feminism) and there's little grey area. Most of the apes are villains and don't walk the line so it becomes easy to side with the humans and it shouldn't be. And most of all that damn ending needs a flow chart to make sense or a vin diagram

The concept of these movies are interesting as hell, so to me its hard as hell to make one of these movies thats complete trash.
