There isn't anything strange about that.

Hartford is a historical WWF town in their home state and has the biggest indoor arena in the state (HCC/XLCenter) and has even hosted a WrestleMania before (XI) and hosted Survivor Series 1990 where the Undertaker made his debut.

Louisville is a huge wrestling town. Freedom Hall and Louisville Gardens are historic wrestling venues going back to the 70's.and before 2000, Louisville had already hosted two other PPV's: In Your House Feb. 1996 and Ground Zero in 1997.

Albany is another historical WWF town they've been running shows there since the early 90's (IIRC) The GOAT 1992 Royal Rumble and the famous Raw after WresleMania XIV both took place in Albany.

Birmingham is another town they've been running shows at since the 80's WCW and ECW ran this town as well. Them getting a PPV isn't strange at all IMO.

Raleigh getting Summeslam was probably because they just built a new arena there and when WWF chose it to host Summerslam 2000 it drew 17,000 fans and a 1.1 million dollar gate (the first non-WM show to do a million). Raleigh historically was a NWA/WCW town back in the day.

They were giving the most random cities a pay-per-view that year. Hartford, Louisville, Albany, and Birmingham all hosted one. :mjlol:

SummerSlam in Raleigh, North Carolina. :mjlol:

There were definitely big cities that got a pay-per-view like New York (Royal Rumble) and Philadelphia (Unforgiven), but it seems like most of them were picked out of a hat. Imagine them going to Kentucky or Alabama for a pay-per-view these days. :dead:

:dahell:

Why are you acting like those cities have populations of 300?

those are some good mid sized cities
