I know practically the entire fandom cheered when Littlefinger died, but I think a lot of us here were disappointed by it. This was LITTLEFINGER. The guy started the War of the Five fukking Kings, for crying out loud. Dude had schemes on schemes on schemes. Now he's on trial for his life b/c he got two teenage girls to bytch at other, and he's got...nothing. Even after the Starks were on to him, LF had plenty of options at his trial.
1. He could've pleaded his case. The Starks had no proof of any of LF's crimes, just hearsay (greensight or not).
2. He could've demanded a trial by combat. Fat chance, but that was still a (minute) option.
3. He could've asked to take the Black. IIRC, I don't think a person can be *denied* that option.
4.
ANYTHING!!!
We've had plenty of good deaths, so I'm not talking about which death you thought was the worst (Ned, Olenna, etc.) I'm taking about the deaths that came b/c of horrible writing. Let's hear it: what GOT death/deaths made you wanna holler and throw up both your hands like Marvin Gaye?
*edit*
Here's a really good video outlining how LF could've defended himself on trial:
And here's a good rundown as to why the trial was such a farce.
