it's like in bill & ted where they meet themselves in the begining then they complete the loop by meeting their past selves again from their perspectives....
The terminator is supposed to end in the future in which we KNOW John Connor wins, we know he gets to the time machine and sends back the terminator to save his life 3 times but we never SEE HOW because of the fukking writers never completed the loop.

its been established way before genesys that its alternate timelines
I don't know if they could really call it an alternate timeline since there is never one without Judgement Day, the terminators, or John Connor & Kyle Reese. I guess it kinda is, but not really an alt timeline and more of a Back to the Future 1 type thing, just shifting the future. The only that changes is the date of Judgement Day...and I guess you can add the date Sarah Connor dies...but if the creators/producers said so, then it is so.
Time travel fukkery. I give up even thinking about it.

well then if it wasn't their timeline, then why the heck did they care? Heck, why did the machines even care? They lost the war... well what was the point of taking Connor out if that's only gonna make it better for the machines chillin in a whole other timeline?
The t-100 was sent to kill sarah connor and prevent John Connor from being born, because he is a major threat to the skynet overlords. Kyle reese was sent by john connor to prevent this. Its pretty simple honestly.
A "fix" for this is that Kyle isn't actually John's father.So he would be born.

If you remember in Terminator 1, Sarah is dating some a$$hole with a Porsche that stood her up for a date. It's possible she got pregnant from him or any of the other losers she dated before Kyle showed up.

Can't Blame you for forgetting Salvation though, shyt was the lowest point in the franchise easily.
