HHH has exhibited racist tendencies throughout his career. From this, to the Booker T angle, to Del Rio and Ricardo calling him out for his bigotry, etc.

I think it goes beyond just "playing a character". This is what HHH really feels in his heart and he's letting out publicly under the guise of entertainment.

that usually makes for a great angle though doesn't it? when art imitates life?

plus shawn and hunter are also notrious for being known bytches aren't they? do you really think either of those guys would have had the balls to outright proclaim their disdain for black people on national television by bringing bananas out to the stage? especially knowing they'd have to face certain co-workers about it in the back??

plus remember it is not like JR lauded them on commentary or condoned anything they were doing. the WWE never urged you to cheer for these guys. they were immature, disrespectful, and degenerates.

but above all, they were REAL.

In a AOL chat session in March 1998. Kevin Nash said regarding Jim Cornette's comments about him on Raw a few months back: "Cornette is entitled to his opinion. I think Jim Cornette's biggest problem is he's secretly in love with me, and would like to challenge me to an apartment wrestling match. The proverbial banana on a pole match." In addition on a WCW web site interview, Mark Madden and Syxx said they heard Cornette has a "fixation with fruit being stuck up his ass,". During the latter days of SMW, Jim was in the middle of a divorce from his wife, it was disputed and went to court, the main part of the evidence evolved around a sex tape he did with one of the birds he was shagging in which there were really weird S and M acts with the grand finale being....The bird putting a Banana up Cornette's Ass! Shawn Michaels and Triple H mocked him for it by eating bananas on a Raw in late 1997 while doing guest colour commentary with him.

Watched the video and was confused by the explanation of it being racist. They're entire commentary was anti-Hart Foundation and they did nothing to rile up any of the NOD throughout the match. Read the Jim Cornette story and went :lupe:
