he's saying if you look at it like semesters or a basket ball season.

it goes from 96-97. thats 1 full year.

starting in say autumn of 96 to the summer of 97. thats basically 12 months. one year.

thats how you remember hiphop as a kid. where were you? in school(college or high school, jr high/middle school). what semester was it first or 2nd? or was it the summer/winter?

again. the problem is. its hard to go off of memory without using the semester style of memory. thats how we all remember hiphop.
what was poppin in the winter, summer, inbetween there.
