What was the better NFL game, 2K5 or Madden '05

At the time, it was 2k5. It was graphically superior and offered alternative gameplay/features to Madden.
I emulated both recently and I couldn't play 2k5. I've been playing Madden for almost 20 years, I can't go back to those controls. Madden 05 is still fun to play.

I purchased both 2k5 was the better game at the time. Had better graphics and more varied gameplay modes.

Both were great but 2K5’s presentation is still yet to be topped till this day. ESPN had Chris Berman all over that game.
2K5 was better playing head to head on a game to game basis and presentation wise.
I preferred madden's franchise mode and simming tho. 2k5 better everywhere else. It wasn't until Madden/NCAA 06 where EA finally cracked the code but 2K was done already.

Long time ago, but I'm certain Madden got more burn because we played franchises.
2k5 easily. The gameplay still has features Madden still cant replicate. Pitiful

I'm far from a football head but 2K5 shyts on every "classic" Madden game from 04 with OP Vick to the okie doke XX where we all got hookwinked into believing you can transfer teams to different countries.
