But quite frankly, assembling another defense like that is nearly impossible. And Russell just isn’t good enough. He just isn’t. He holds the ball and doesn’t trust his reads.

And if Pete's solution is, get more top end talent, we can forget it. We fukked our next two years of drafting selling out to bring in some hungry veterans . . . who just got manhandled off the field by a team that actually WANTS to win in the post season, not just get there. It's going to be very, very difficult to upgrade our personnel over the next two off-seasons. We need more talent on the offensive line, and at WR too. Russ is plenty enough if we protect him and he's got targets open, but that just fell apart at midseason; about the time everybody had deep film on us. We will lose some important players on defense too, this offseason, and I don't know how we are going to fill even those holes, let alone upgrade the unit.
