The thing with Jimmy is that his cap hit is fkn high. Unless he lets Paraag the gawd remix his shyt he just costs too much with a shrinking cap this year for us to fill our needs next year. Big Trent gotta get paid. All Pro Fred gotta get paid. Our defensive back Corp are all free agents. The Oline has to be addressed. Something has to give.

But we can cut Jimmy and the cap hit isn't high, IIRC that was the big W of his contract after he signed. That after year 3 we could cut losses and not lose much cap wise.

Jimmy doesnt elevate your squad

Any average qb can do what he does. Its Shanny scheme. Rams have the same issue, they dont need Goff and they overpaid him too.

And that’s the issue. It’s hard to find and get an average QB, let alone a very good one. Which is why Jimmy’s likely sticking around in 2021

No way in hell Hoyer, Mullen Beathard does what he did last year without the talent.

And I’m not sure outside of about 5 over people that we absolutely can’t get, could’ve done the same

Exactly. Getting a Matt Ryan, Kirk, even a Stafford will be more expensive contract-wise than Jimmy and it’ll cost a high draft pick. Too rich for my blood

I don’t blame Kyle/Lynch for wanting to keep continuity, especially in such a weird season. There was no chance we were gonna take a QB early in the 2020 draft coming off a SB run

Besides, it’s better taking a QB in the top 10-15 than the late 1st/2nd imo. It’s why I think 2021 is the better time to draft a QB compared to 2020 for us. We’ll have at least a top 15 pick with the possibility of trading up
