That wont cut it at all. If you shot in the exact same spot over and over you might eventually get some penetration but the glass itself will not fold. U just have a tiny hole, which is pointless.

The Five-seven pistol was developed in conjunction with the FN P90 personal defense weapon and the FN 5.7×28mm cartridge. The P90 was introduced in 1990, and the Five-seven was introduced in 1998 as a pistol using the same 5.7×28mm ammunition. Developed as a companion pistol to the P90, the Five-seven shares many of its design features: it is a lightweight polymer-based weapon with a large magazine capacity, ambidextrous controls, low recoil, and the ability to penetrate body armor when using certain cartridge types.

'Certain cartridges' = armor-piercing varieties of the 5.7×28mm which are only sold to law enforcement and military personnel.

This is the pistol Nidal Malik Hasan used in Ft. Hood, Texas.

a .40 cal hallow tip will puncture cheap glass and so will those 5.56 fny rounds but im assuming someone wants to get behind the glass not hurt someone?

Armor isnt as strong as the glass. Again, i dont think these round will cut through ballistic glass like you imagine they will. The cheapest glass you might get a hole depending on distance and where you shoot it but its not something youd want to put all your confidence in.

We aren't talking about ballistic glass, though. OP is talking about that bullshyt bodegas in the 'hood use to keep people from reaching over the counter to smack the cashier. That shyt is about as bulletproof as wet cardboard, but would deflect a .22 the way most of these 'stick-up-kids' fire a weapon.

Mmm, that's a security issue. Why do you want to know?
