The lg cx reviews are great

is this tv expected to look dated in a year or so? Or will there not be rapid improvements with the next line of models?

There are minor differences between last year and this year. The tech has matured. I wouldn't count on much improvement on 2021. You might get more brightness, or a more powerful processor, but the panel will probably be the same. The CX has all the bells and whistles already.

Picked up my LG CX Sunday, got it hooked up last night. Anything I should do settings wise? Do I need to get HDMI 2.1 cables? Cable TV still looks average at best, ain't upgrading trash tv to 4k. PS4 Games is definitely a huge upgrade:gladbron:, but I can tell which ones running at 30fps now. :hhh:

Now I just gotta wait for the PS5:lawd::lawd:

AVS Forum for settings and tips
Monoprice.com for good HDMI cables that aren't overpriced

Stopped into Best Buy today to look at the OLED TV's in person.

Need to get my money up :mjcry:

Or just say fukk it and throw it on the credit card :mjlit:

Is the gap between 55 and 65 inches that noticeable in terms of tv enjoyment and viewing area, gonna cop this oled joint but that 65 price a lil high lol :lupe:
Depends on the room size. I'm somewhat content with my 55 inch C7 and C9. I'm not sitting far enough away from either to justify buying a 65.

I really don't want to pay over 500 for a TV..
After dishing out almost 1k on next gen consoles and 300 on a TV stand, my credit card needs a break lol..

My wife would probably kill me but these oled are tempting.. guess I'll raise the bar another 170 but no further.. my Samsung 55 4k tb from 2016 is starting to get screen tear and I dont like that

If you don't already have one, you're gonna want a sound system. Even an entry level soundbar is better than TV speakers. You'll never want to go back.

my eyes are burnin me from researching all the "next gen console ready" tv's and I think i'm gonna settle with the Sony XH90.....firmware update should be hdmi 2.1 ready by the time I cop the ps5...hdr/vrr capable for the next gen....I prefer sony over the rest...:manny:

I copped the 55in off Amazon and it got delivered yesterday, having Android TV is a no brainer for my needs. Happy with my purchase

Was hoping the update for the X900H appeared while setting up the TV but didn’t didn’t. Anyway to hurry it up?

I got mines today :ahh: had to install that Korean firmware to get 120hz to work though :beli:

Did you get 77" too?

I'm torn. My next home theater purchase is going to be a short throw 4k HDR laser projector (too laggy for gaming). So I'm not sure if copping the 77" strictly for gaming is worth it.

Thinking about the 55" or 65"
