This is false, next gen hasn't started and you're going off early launch title projections and basically claiming things won't improve.

If you're saying they will improve well the only improvement left is at the very minimum 4k/60. At launch titles are hitting 4k/120, and while most are last gen gears 5 isn't some limited detailed last gen title. There's more going on than in most next gen titles, demons souls for instance be having empty environments with blackness hiding other areas. Just the boss battles look good, gears looks better. My point is we'll see that this gen once these systems hit their strides
If you think 120fps is gonna be any type of standard you haven't gamed long enough. In this generation 1080p 60fps was barely any kinda standard and most games targeted more graphical fidelity at 30fps.

Me personally I don’t need it for EVERY game

Just shooters and fighting games

So if I buy this LG CX, I'm guessing I'll also need a 2.1 HDMI cord?

Not sure why folks is saying to wait on these new TVs

Long story short every HDMI 2.1 TV currently available has had issues and will likely continue to have issues until the tech has matured more and is on more than just flagship level TVs.

Not entirely sure what an AVR is, but I'm not using an AVR and the brehs here haven't complained yet:patrice: What's the point of an AVR when I'm just hooking the ps5 straight to the TV?

audio video receiver I assume and like you said, you can just bypass it and use the arc HDMI on your tv.

Not watching the vid, did they say there were drawbacks to that type of setup?

Probably lose some sound quality and or options, not connecting the receiver directly to the console and lose picture quality / options with the console passing thru the receiver that doesn’t have hdmi 2.1
