He could be happy but when I mentioned him smiling, I mentioning the fact that sterotypically the c00n character is always smiling and tap dancing. That is why I mentioned that
A lot of y'all don't know the history and it shows. At the end of the day maybe he is smiling and thinking it's all a joke and I could be making a bigger deal about it but when you look at it with a historical lens you feel embarrassed that he would even take a picture like that.

I don't hate Donald Glover, I own his Camp album on CD and have his Awaken My Love CD as well. I am a big fan of Atlanta too so with that said it's not hate but it's just an analysis. Also I always call out c00n behavior. You jsut don't know me too well on this site but on Boxden I even got banned for saying Flo-Rida was a c00n for performing at Trump's inauguration when the rumor came up and Chrisette Michelle was wrong for performing as well. I always call out people who are c00nign and though I love Donald Glover's work it doesn't change the fact what he di can be interpreted as c00ning and no it is not a stretch.

Perception is reality though and their is very little in this world that is truly objective. With that said, sure he made it to be a joke you could argue but in my opinion it is tasteless given the history of black entertainers and the picture can be perceived to be c00n like. The way he is smiling and holding it and making it to be a joke could very well be seen as c00ning and I am not the only one in this thread who feels this way. I'm a fan of his so it made me feel a way to see this. Now, I acknowledge I could be making it a bigger deal than it is and that more than likely this is not his intent, but just cause it's not his intent does not mean it can't be perceived to be which is why we got to be careful at just going off how things look.
With that said, let's agree to disagree.
